pie party potluck LIVE 2015 recap
Jackie the Diva and I started hosting Pie Party in 2011 as an event where food bloggers could gather and socialize over their sweet and savory pies. Each person was responsible for bringing a pie, tart—or a variation baked good that involved a crust.
Pie Party was held at the brand new campus of ICE (Institute of Culinary Education). Three hours flew by, as everyone got started with delicious hor d’oeuvres from the ICE kitchen and creative cocktails by Mizu shochu, Tromba tequila, and Reyka vodka (big thanks to Matt Bruck for coordinating the beverages). After the pie crust demo from Chef Sarah of ICE, Jackie and I announced, “Let us eat pie”.
Everyone sampled as many pies as they dared, with the help of beautiful Wüsthof pie/cake servers, and took home more pies (ones they loved and/or ones they didn’t get to sample).
At the end of the afternoon, bloggers departed with bags full of goodies from our sponsors. Many thanks to ICE, Anolon, Wüsthof, Dub Pies, King Arthur Flour, Cabot Creamery, Tovolo Home, Honeyridge Farm & Wild Hibiscus for their enthusiastic support.
I want to express my gratitude to several important supporters:
· All the bloggers and industry professionals who came to the event
· ICE for their generosity in letting us use the stunning facility and the best staff ever for a party
· Our volunteers—Bernice, Erica, George, Thong, and Mitch—for helping us pull off a delicious afternoon
· And a massive thanks to my partner of the event—Jackie.

So so so much fun! Thanks again Jackie & Ken for putting this together for this ragtag crew of hungry writers! :o)
This looks amazing! If I lived anywhere in the area, I would pay you to let me volunteer for that party! What an experience!
