all about chocolate – recipes and chocabaret
Since my last post on Passion Fruit Truffle Cake, I’ve been under the spell of chocolate–dark, bittersweet, even milk chocolate. I keep thinking of different chocolate recipes but can barely get myself into the kitchen to actually prepare them. Lets just say I’m still in a chocolate coma from the truffle cake.
I decided to take a one-week break from the blog and rejuvenate myself over Memorial Day weekend. Boy, did I end up with something new. Apparently, I was under the weather and last Friday, the flu showed it’s ugly face–I was catatonic on the sofa for the entire day barely eating. I knew I was out of the funk when I had a craving for a tall stacked Club Sandwich on Friday night. Thank goodness the 24 hour flu happened in the beginning of the weekend.
During recovery, chocolate was still on my mind, but in a different format. There’s a wonderful chocolate event in the works: Chocabaret, a tasting of NY artisan chocolates set to music.
Jackie Gordon, the Singing Chef, has been in the chocolate business for over 10 years, will share/sing the story behind each artisan offering. She’s also the talent behind the cabaret show, The Fried Chicken Theory According to Jackie Gordon staged in Melbourne, Australia.
